Privacy Policy — Tree Tone

This policy explains what personal information Tree Tone collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to treetoneshop.com and to any order placed through it.

Information we collect

Account details. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) shares your name, email address and profile image with us.
Order details. To fulfil an order we collect your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
Reviews. If you write a review we store the text, your rating, the display name you choose and any photographs you attach.
Newsletter. If you subscribe we store your email address and, optionally, your name.
Technical data. We use the country code supplied by our hosting provider to show the correct currency, and standard server logs for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

To process, deliver and support your orders.
To send transactional email — confirmations and delivery updates.
To send marketing email, only where you have opted in.
To display reviews on product pages.
To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.

Payment

Tree Tone is cash on delivery. We do not collect, process or store card numbers, bank details or any other payment credentials.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store: our authentication provider (Clerk), our database host (MongoDB Atlas), our image host (Cloudinary), our email provider, and the courier delivering your order. Each receives only what it needs for that purpose.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained for accounting and warranty purposes. Account and newsletter data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing stops marketing email but keeps your order history intact.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link at the bottom of any such email, or by writing to us. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email support@treetoneshop.com.

Cookies

We use only the cookies required for the site to function — keeping you signed in and remembering the contents of your basket. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with reputable providers. Administrative access is restricted and privileged actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children

Our store is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
